FM Tuner, Voice Recorder - Black - MPN: SDMX11R2048KA70
Strengths: small and easy to take anywhere, audio quality, FM tuner, built in microphone
Weakness: Can't change the battery - once the thing is dead, it's dead for good. Sound can be too loud when using it in a quiet environment.
I bought this little player to take to the gym with me. I love that it's so small and light and doesn't weigh me down. The controls are intuitive and you can create some playlists on the fly by adding it to your GoList. When I initially tried the player out, I was in a quiet room. The sound was very loud and hurt my ears, even though I was on the lowest setting. No complaints, though, at the gym since the environment is louder. This issue may have been fixed by now with a firmware update. All in all, I love this player and would buy it again.

TopStrengths: Audio quality, high quality voice recorder, fm capabilities, simple file transfer, continuous firmware updates
Weakness: Blue ring around controls can be a bit too bright at times
This little player ranks among the best audio quality of all of the players I've ever used. The battery life is quite good, and the screen is pretty clear and bright. Controls are relatively intuitive, and they include a pretty handy sleep mode that shuts the player off by itself. One of best things is the support that SanDisk shows; there have been continuous firmware updates that reflect the concerns of purchasers. The latest one lowered the lower volume limit in response to concerns voiced over the issue (among other things). Given the price of this unit, it's an amazing purchase.

TopStrengths: Size. Convenience of the Clip. Nice to see the songs you choose.
Weakness: Battery?
I was decding between this and the shuffle, and this one won out since you can see the songs you are choosing. Plus, the built in clip is great for running (all my previos MP3 players would flop too much when clipped on).
One concern is I don't know how easy it is to replace the battery...might be a problem a bit down the line. And I never used the earphones that came along with it...I had my own.

TopStrengths: One of the smallest MP3. Feels solid and ready to go with the clip on. Easy to navigate. FM-tuner.
Weakness: Battery life is a little on the low side but with the size of it, it should be ok. Other than that, is a perfect small MP3 player.
I bought this for my sister and i got my first hand to try it out. This MP3 device feels very solid. You can just grab and go with this device and it has a clip on which makes it easy to clip on to almost anywhere. I can't believe with the size of it. If you put this on your palm and close your palm, you can't see the MP3 on your palm. So you can imagine how small it is. Sound quality, moderate. Try to get a better headset for this device. That will definitely improve the sound quality. Again, its an unbelievable size of the MP3. Great to have one as a music companion.

TopStrengths: Light / controls / screen / navigation / clip
Weakness: Phones it comes with
If you want a nice and lite and good performing MP3 player - I could tell you - Your search is over - Sansa "Clip" is it!
When I paired this thing with nice (V-Moda bass freq.) ear buds - this MP3 player is an unbeatable value / performance item. Highly recommend - it will not disappoint you!

TopStrengths: Bright, clear display, very small, intuitive interface
Weakness: No Jogdial
The Sansa Clip is easy to use, and the OLED display is very crisp and looks great. Would have liked to have a jogdial on this and maybe the option for MicroSD, but at this price point - similar to the iPod Shuffle, you\\\'re getting a lot for the money.

TopStrengths: Small, rechargeable battery, ability to select songs and artists, FM tuner, built-in microphone
Weakness: Built-in battery means when the battery is dead, the Clip must be discarded
The Sandisk Sansa Clip 2gb MP3 player is small but packs good features for a fairly low price. Best Buy had this on sale on Black Friday for $35.00. It does not come with a charger, you charge the built-in rechargeable battery using the included USB cable. Alternatively, you can charge it using any mini-USB charger you may have. The 2gb storage is good and the FM tuner and built-in microphone are also nice features. Unlike the shuffle, this allows you to select a playlist by artist or song, so you don't have to settle for random playing of your music. All in all, a nice MP3 player for the price. Includes a one year warranty.

TopStrengths: Slick, cool looking, works great
Weakness: None.
This is the best player I have had. Its super slim and light. I perfectely meets my need at the gym. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a light mp3 player. It comes in black, red and pink. I would buy either the black or the red, they are both cool.

TopStrengths: Price, simple interface, no proprietary cable.
Weakness: No microSD slot, Battery life. Does not recognize many formats.
I have been using this for a while. It has a simple interface which one can use to listen to the FM radio, listen to personal music, and use as a digital recorder. It works as advertised, has decent tonal quality, and tunes FM radio stations in well. With heavy use, the battery charge does not last to long either. Look to recharge every two days. If you have or want to carry lots of mp3's, or view pictures, or view video content, this is not the player for you.
For starter, this player is just alright.

TopStrengths: Great sound for such a small device. Easy to use.
Weakness: None so far.
I've owned the player for about 4 week and would highly recommend this player to my friends. It is a great value for the price, and it is very easy to set up and use. After plugging the device into my computer it was so easy to go to Media Player and transfer MP3 files to the device. I use the player while I'm outside doing yard work and am very pleased with the longevity of the battery life and the large storage capacity which enables me to continue working without stopping to change batteries or CDs as I did with my Sony Walkman. The small size is a big plus too as doesn't get in the way while I'm working.

TopStrengths: Audio quality, compact, display, standard USB jack, clip, price
Weakness: None for design intentions
This model was designed for small size and low cost ($35 promo at Best Buy) so lack of replaceable battery and MicroSD slot are expected and acceptable. So too lack of AAC and FLAC capability. FM radio and voice recording are nice bonuses. The standard USB jack mates with common (and cheap) data/charging cables and 5V DC adapter chargers which is especially convenient if already used for other devices such as mobile phones. The player defaults to USB mode MTP but can be set for MSC and therefore seen as a removeable drive. With older firmware this is done with a certain button procedure but updates have thankfully included setting via the menu.

TopStrengths: stylish, compact, clip this to anywhere
Weakness: none
the sansa clip 2gb mp3 player is by far one of the best smaller mp3 player with clip. the price is half of the shuffle and comes with a lcd screen. very simple to use and can easily carry this anywhere. the only bad thing is that the battery doesn't last a full 15 hours, i only got a little more than 12 hours.

Topmy sansa 4G lasted only 4 hours today. I had a full charge on it last night! I think something might be wrong with mine. But I love it and would buy another in a heartbeat.
Strengths: Size, sound quality, useful interface
Weakness: size, non-interchangable battery, rhapsody
This mp3 player brings together all the things someone could ever want from this spectrum of electronic devices. Flash memory, a small size, great sound quality, clip for excersizing. To compare this device to things like ipods is unfair considering most ipods are mythic in size (and cost). The few tools this device has are the most useful ones too. FM tuner, Voice recorder (I cannot vouch if this is all that great), and an interface which many devices like the creative stone and the shuffle lack. Unless you are addicted to shuffle mode, this mp3 player is the king of its catagory. This device was a fantastic value and a solid purchase.

The Sansa Clip is a bare bones audio player by SanDisk that continues the memory makers tradition for releasing media players that compete in features and quality, but at a lower cost. This approach has made SanDisk the number two company, after Apple, in the media player industry. True to its namesake, the Sansa Clip comes with an integrated clip for attaching the player to your clothes. The...

Sansa Clip
Strengths: Compact size, ease of use, features
Weakness: None
I have only had this product for a short time but it is amazing. As a first time MP3 user, I admit I'm not an expert, but this device has all the features I need for music and especially audiobook listening. The 2G capacity is quite adequate and the price a bargain. The bookmark feature as well as easy playback and fast forward make listening to books ultra simple. I also find the FM radio with preselected-stations easy to enjoy. All in all, a great buy - I just ordered another one for my wife!
